I will try to keep this post as short as possible. I'll be adding to it as we go along because I have a ton of tools for you.
First, there are five things you need to start a successful business:
1. A reliable webhost
2. A domain name
3. A product
4. A marketing membership
5. A marketing plan
Since you are members of Affiliate Classroom, you should already have the first four.
Today we will work on #5, and I want to make this as easy as possible.
The first thing you need is Web CEO. This software will teach you everything you need to know about marketing in the search engines, finding keywords, optimizing your pages, etc.
It works with both MAC and a PC. I own the professional version because I'm a writer, but the full free version will work for most of you.
Use this tool to help you solve the keyword problem and optimize your site.
Next, there are some things you can do to make your site more search engine friendly, and I have some easy tools for you to use.
1. ROR Generator - Use this to create an XML file with the details of your site. Add the button to the front page of your site.
2. XML Sitemap - This is for Google. Once you've created one of these, upload it to your site, and then go to Google and submit it.

3. The only other search engine you need to submit to is Alexa.
That takes care of your search engines. Everyone crawls everyone.
Also, since you have an XML sitemap now, you have RSS. Use Pingomatic to get you in Yahoo and MSN (through Moreover).
If you have a blog, the fastest way to get it listed is Pingoat. This will get you in most of the blog directories. Saves you hours of pinging each site to get listed.
DO NOT use Pingoat to ping your site. You will get banned. Pingoat is smart and knows if it's really a blog. How do I know this? The only site I can submit there is my blog. The rest of my sites are banned.
There are only three things after this that you have to do to build a killer SEO strategy:
1. Write articles
2. Build links
3. Build content
Now, here are the tools you need:
Article Submission
1. Article Marketer
2. AD Submitter
Article Marketer will take care of all the article lists on Yahoo. If you have a premium account, it will take care of Ezine Articles and Go Articles.
AD Submitter will allow you to speed up the process of submitting to Article Dashboard sites, and it's free.
Now, here is the big announcement I promised Anik:
One of the AD site owners is developing a script he will be giving away for free. it will be even faster than the software. This will allow one click one submission to 100s of Article Dashboard sites.

Why is this so important?
1. You own an article dashboard site, then you will build your content faster and rank higher.
2. Build backlinks by giving the script away.
3. The ability to put your articles on hundreds of sites in a few minutes.
Don't think it works? Then do a google on Jinger Jarrett. I've gone from 1200 entries to over 46,000 in less than a year. I still spent a few hours submitting.
My goal is 50,000 by December 31. Now that I've figured out what I'm doing, I do believe I'll make it.

BTW, for you Ultimate Marketing Center people, you can install through Fantastico. Just make sure that you stuff that's search engine friendly.
Article Dashboard - best script for building an article directory.
Want proof? I already have over 100 links pointing back to my article directory, and I built it this month.
Recently Google announced something to the effect that your domain had to be at least a year old to get indexed.
BRAVO SIERRA.
My articles site is already indexed in Google thanks to Alexa, and it's included in the AD software so don't worry about finding me. I think even my parked domains are indexed. LOL
One last tool:
Portal Feeder, a.k.a. Orwell - Use this to build content to your site.
All you have to do is choose valuable articles that your readers want to read. That's what I do and write a few of my own.
Let me repeat that one. DON'T BUILD A WEBSITE JUST TO MONETIZE FOR ADSENSE.
Offer your visitors something they want so they come back. This is a business, right?

I've cleaned it up, created a lot of new autoforms, and added over 100 article directories to it.
This is better than the one I gave Chris Ellington of Article Marketer.
EA DB - Unzip it on your desktop. Open Ezine Announcer and do an import.
Make sure you make a back up of your old ea.xml file in case you don't like my resources. That way, you just drop the old files back in there.

Forgive me if I am butting into this conversation.
I know the owner of Article Marketer, Chris Ellington. I stumbled across him on my article list at Yahoo Groups.
I was so intrigued by what he was doing with Article Marketer, I gave him a call.
I use to use Ezine Announcer to promote my articles, but it can be time consuming even if you buy the 3.3 upgrade from the original programmer.
I had added about 100 of my own article resources to the program, so you can imagine how long it took me to submit each article I wrote.
I told Chris about it, and he offered me an upgraded membership in exchange for my article resources.
Currently, he is having his programmers add all of my resources to this script, and as I find more, I'll be sending them to him.
What you will find is a submission service that is always up to date, and it will have a ton of new resources added to it.
It's one click one submission. You can submit to over 1,000 publishers free. If you're really serious about article marketing, the upgrade is definitely worth it, and I would have paid him for it.
Maybe because I had a hand in this one I am a little biased, but I haven't found a better, or less expensive, less time consuming option than this one.
I've used just about all of them. I vetoed using Article Announcer because it was too expensive, and I really didn't need anything except for the submission tool. I even wrote Jason about it, but he won't sell the submission tool separately.
